Hello!
The past few weeks of work on my part have been possible thanks to one incredible device: this knee bandage that circulates ice water. A few weeks ago I underwent a simple, outpatient knee surgery l and have been wearing this brace ever since. To use, simply keep the machine filled with ice, and it will pump cold water throughout the bandage, thereby reducing swelling and pain. Despite dealing with a bit of pain from the surgery site, this remarkable piece of, yes, wearable technology has worked fantastically and allowed me to go about my day in relative ease, which I think is pretty impressive considering I'm an old guy who just had invasive surgery. Its simplicity reminds me that technology really is woven into our everyday, and not just limited to our phones or computers.

With that being said, let's get on to a great roundup of links!

Using Google Calendar Shortcuts

Google Calendar is great, isn't it? It's the one calendar it seems that everyone uses, and it integrates seamlessly with many applications, including most email systems.

In addition to scheduling and helping busy professionals schedule out their day, Google Calendar also goes a step beyond to help those who run on a tight schedule or have time-keeping problems. With a few clicks, you can set up a small timer that will run in the background of your current online activity, notifying you as to how much time you have before that next meeting or appointment.

Ready to find out how? Ok, here's how you do it.

To begin, enable the feature in Google Labs. Click the "Setting" gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of your Google Calendar screen. Scroll down until you see "Next Meeting" and select Enable

That's it! It's a remarkably simple procedure and you'll be up and running quickly. Below you'll see how your calendar screen will look like once you have your next meeting enabled:
